Salford City is excited to announce our first ever junior takeover fixture against Walsall in September!

The Saddlers visit The Peninsula Stadium on Saturday 21st September (KO 15:00), and we will be putting our junior supporters front and centre for the afternoon.

From helping to set the changing rooms up to reading the teams and conducting post-match interviews, it will be a great afternoon where our junior supporters will shadow a number of key roles at The Peninsula Stadium.

As part of the event admission for Under-14s is just £1 with an Adult or Concession, with a maximum of five Under-14s allowed per Adult or Concession.

There will be a number of junior-focused activities happening around the ground including skills tests and competitions; face painting; entertainment; and a design-a-flag competition, and of course those who successfully apply for a role will be performing their duties throughout the day!

The roles available are:

  • Commentators; to talk about what’s happening in the game
  • Kit assistant; help the kit manager with setting up for the day
  • Reporter; ask the all important questions to the players and management
  • Photographer; capture the day and the match
  • Matchday host; welcome our guests into hospitality
  • Matchday announcer; read the teams out and announce scorers and substitutes
  • Teamsheet distributors; let supporters know who is playing

Each role will be supervised by a qualified member of Salford City staff, who is DBS checked. Our Safeguarding policy can be found at https://www.salfordcityfc.co.uk/the-club/safeguarding.
