WISEMAN SIGNS FOR AMMIES

Salford City FC are delighted to announce the signing of right-back Scott Wiseman.

CAREER SO FAR

Hull born Scott started with his home city club aged 6 and went on to play in the first team. His debut came during the 2003-2004 Third Division campaign and he went on to make a total of 19 appearances for the Tigers. He had loan spell with Boston United and Rotherham United before signing for Darlington in March 2007.Injuries spoiled his time with the Quakers and he was released in 2008. His next port of call was Rochdale where 114 appearances were chalked up over the next 3 seasons. Fine form at Spotland earned a move to the Championship in June 2011. Employed largely as a right-back or wing-back Scott played 111 times for the Tykes before switching to Preston during the 2013-2014 season.Two seasons at Deepdale were followed by a couple of years with Scunthorpe United and he spent 2017-2018 with Chesterfield

INTERNATIONAL CAREER

Scott won caps for England at Under-20 level but qualified to play for Gibraltar through his mother. He made his debut in Gibraltar’s first official internation, helping them to a creditable 0-0 draw -vs- Slovakia. He has made another 9 appearances since, including World Cup Qualifying fixtures.

MOVING TO SALFORD CITY

Having been released by Chesterfield Scott chose to link up again with new Ammies manager Graham Alexander. He has signed a one year deal and we extend a warm welcome to our latest international.
