Salford-born Tom Walker says to win promotion to the Football League with his home city club would be massive and ‘a great achievement’.
Having grown up in Salford, the former Bolton Wanderers and FC United midfielder signed for The Ammies in January 2018 and played a significant part in last season’s National League North championship win.
It’s been a whirlwind time at The Peninsula Stadium for the 23-year-old, who scored against Saturday’s opponents AFC Fylde earlier in the season, and he is hoping to make it back-to-back promotions in the Vanarama National League Promotion Final, on the biggest stage of them all.
It would mean a lot to @Tom1Walker1 to win back-to-back promotions with his local club!
