Salford City was founded in 1940 and was promoted to the Football League for the first time after winning the National League play-offs in 2018-19!

History of the Club

The club was formed in 1940 as Salford Central, changing to Salford Amateurs in 1963 before becoming Salford City Football Club in 1989.

Foundation 92 is an independent Charity that will focus on supporting people to improve their lives through sport, sponsored by 1st CENTRAL.

The Peninsula Stadium

The Peninsula Stadium is home to Salford City Football Club and has recently undergone major redevelopment to become a 5,000+ capacity ground.
