Salford City, TalkTalk, SalfordWe are pleased to announce that TalkTalk have signed a five-year sponsorship deal with Salford City.

The telecoms provider is set to move it’s headquarters to Salford Quays this autumn, and this partnership is an example of TalkTalk’s commitment to the local community.

A natural fit for both side, TalkTalk’s sponsorship of a team in the Football League as opposed to the Premier League like some of its competitors is reflective of the company’s commitment to championing fairness.

Chief Operating Officer of TalkTalk, Nick Gunga, commented:

“It is a very exciting time for TalkTalk as we relocate our operations to Salford, and we’re thrilled that it coincides with us becoming an official sponsor of Salford City FC.

“There’s lots of synergy with Salford City FC, not least because of our shared challenger spirit.

“The partnership also allows us to keep demonstrating our commitment to the local community so expect to see that brought to life in exciting ways over the coming year as we look to celebrate and deepen our relationship.”

TalkTalk’s partnership will run until the end of the 2023-24 season and provides them with brand visibility across the club including on players’ kit, the new Media Hub at The Peninsula Stadium and in the programme, while they will also support the club’s grassroots activity in the local area.

Salford City Chairman Karen Baird added:

“When I first discussed a partnership with TalkTalk it felt like a great fit for our club.

“We share the same views and principles on affordability and accessibility for all, so for them to be locating to the area is great for everyone.”

A spokesperson for the Class of 92 said:

“We would like to welcome TalkTalk to Salford. This sponsorship is fantastic, not just for the club but for the wider community, who believe like us in the importance of grassroots football.

“We are looking forward to working with TalkTalk and the exciting opportunities that will arise along our journey together.”

All of us here at Salford City would like to extend a warm welcome to TalkTalk and their employees, and we look forward to welcoming you to The Peninsula Stadium!
