Issue 8 of this season’s matchday programme is now available to read online for free!
The cover for our Emirates FA Cup First Round clash against Hartlepool United is inspired by Andy Warhol, and features the famous trophy.
Inside we reflect on a busy week that has seen Richie Wellens named manager, and you can read his first interview inside.
Former Ammie Stephen O’Halloran talks about playing against Hartlepool in our last FA Cup meeting in 2015-16 in an exclusive interview.
“When I’m looking back on my career in a few years I’ll be looking at when I was younger playing pro football with Villa, and looking at my time with Ireland playing for my country, but I’ll be looking at my time at Salford and that was one of my best moments.
“It was one of the best nights for this club in recent memory, when you think of the run that we had to get to that stage as well, you think of the game against Southport, Pooley’s amazing goal, you think of our first night on TV as well against Notts County, showing everyone how good we were, it’s just nice to chip into that story as well with getting the goal against Hartlepool, taking it for a replay which, you know, I think we all agree that we probably deserved to win as well!”
We have a look at our visitors from Hartlepool, and have regular columns from Frankly and Andy Giblin. Meanwhile there are reports from all of the games in the last seven days played by the men’s team, Lionesses and Under-18s.
