WE are delighted to announce the Salford City squad numbers for the upcoming 2018-19 Vanarama National League season.

It is a memorable occasion for the club, allocating squad numbers for the first time on the eve of our first season in non-league’s top flight.

Captain Liam Hogan will wear the number 5 shirt, with new signings Adam Rooney and Danny Lloyd being allocated numbers 9 and 10, which they wore at Aberdeen and Peterborough United respectively.

Chris Neal will wear the goalkeeper’s number 1 with Max Crocombe sporting number 12.

Winger Tom Walker is the club’s first number 11, and Nick Haughton 7. Lois Maynard takes the traditional central midfielder’s number 8, with Gus Mafuta in 4, Danny Whitehead in 18 (which he wore at Macclesfield), Mark Shelton in the number 19 which he had at Burton Albion, Kieran Glynn in 27, and newest signing James Hooper gets 16.

Scott Wiseman and Ibou Touray received full-back numbers 2 and 3 respectively, and Carl Piergianni number 6. New boys at the back Jake Lawlor, Nathan Pond and James Jones have been given 15, 23 and 26, while Josh Askew will wear 14.

Rory Gaffney keeps the number 30 he wore at Bristol Rovers, and Devante Rodney still has the 21 he had at Hartlepool United. Jack Redshaw will wear number 13, and Mani Dieseruvwe 20.

The players will wear them for the first time against Leyton Orient at The Peninsula Stadium on Saturday 4th August (KO 12:30).
