Richie Towell says he is hoping to add to an already impressive career here at Salford City.
The Irish midfielder signed after his release from Brighton & Hove Albion, having spent the last two seasons on loan at Rotherham United where he won promotion to The Championship.
Now a week into pre-season, he is looking forward to achieving more success at The Peninsula Stadium having settled in seamlessly.
“It’s been great to get to know the boys they’ve been really good with me, obviously being a new lad coming in is never easy but the lads have been, the gaffer and all the coaches have helped me settle in really well and it’s been quite an easy transition.
“I went back to play in Ireland for three seasons with Dundalk and we had a really successful time there, and then I got my move to Brighton which was great, being part of such a good club there we got promoted to the Premier League which was unbelievable to be a part of that, then I went on loan to Rotherham and we had success there, we got promoted to The Championship so it’s been quite an enjoyable career so far and I’m hoping I can add to that at Salford.
“That’s why I signed here, I can see that the club are all geared towards getting promoted and really pushing on, every time they went into a new league. As soon as I spoke to everybody at the club I knew this was the right place for me so I was looking forward to starting straight away.”
