Following the conclusion of the 2021-22 season, Salford City can confirm which players have been retained and released.
11 First Team players remain under contract with the Club beyond June 30th including top scorer Brandon Thomas-Asante, record appearance holder Ibou Touray and January signings Matt Smith, Ryan Watson and Luke Bolton.
Loanees Corrie Ndaba and Stephen Kelly have returned to their parent clubs Ipswich Town and Rangers respectively, our thanks to both players and Clubs for their efforts and contribution. 22-year-old Ndaba was voted as the Supporters’ Player of the Season, scoring twice in 29 League Two appearances, while Kelly scored one and assisted three after joining in January.
Donald Love, Ash Eastham, Jordan Turnbull and Theo Vassell have been offered re-engagement terms about a new contract.
In the Development Squad, Joel Torrance, James Melhado and Marcus Dackers have had options exercised in their contracts to remain at Salford for another year. Matthew Sargent and Kevin Berkoe have been offered new deals with the Club. The rest of the Development Squad have been released.
Academy scholars Donovan Lescott and Djavan Pedro have been offered their first professional deals with the Club. All remaining second year scholars have been released.
