Following the conclusion of the 2020-21 campaign Salford City can confirm its retained and released list.
The Ammies finished in a highest ever position of eighth in Sky Bet League Two, and equalled our best performance in the FA Cup by reaching the Second Round as well as making the League Cup Second Round for the first time.
We would like to thank every player for their contribution to the season, and for those that are moving on or returning to their parent Clubs they do so with our best wishes for the future.

Ibou Touray has been offered re-engagement.
Ben Rydel and Anton Smith have been offered professional contracts.
Players returning to parent Clubs:
Di’Shon Bernard, Paul Coutts, Robbie Gotts, Tom James.
Mani Dieseruvwe departs The Peninsula Stadium after four successful seasons with The Ammies, and 18 goals in 104 appearances across three divisions. Included in those strikes are a goal at Wembley in the 2019 National League Promotion Final and our first goals in the Football League in the 2-0 win against Stevenage in August 2019. With three trophies in four years, Mani leaves as one of the most decorated players at Salford and we wish him all the best!
Also leaving after four seasons is Alex Doyle, who was part of the Club’s first Academy cohort in 2017. Doyley captained the youth teams on a number of occasions, winning silverware before becoming professional in 2019. In September 2019 he became the Club’s first player from the Academy to make a Football League appearance, coming on as a substitute against Cheltenham Town (above), so will always have a place in our history. Thank you for everything Doyley and good luck!
After two seasons with us in the Football League, Oscar Threlkeld and Richie Towell have been released with the Irishman heading back to his native country to play for Shamrock Rovers. George Boyd, Tom Clarke, Harry Ditchfield, Sam Fielding, Darron Gibson, Dan Hawkins, Dan Jones, Will Shepherd and James Wilson have also been let go; again thank you to all the lads for their efforts in the First Team and the Development Squad.
Under-18s Ryan Ghaly, Daniel Jones, Phil Perry, Tom Shepherd, Jaden Timmis and Max Williams haven’t been offered professional contracts, and go on with our blessings in their future careers.
