Irish forward Rory Gaffney signed from Bristol Rovers in June 2018 ahead of our debut season in The National League.
The 28-year-old started his career with Mervue United in the Irish First Division before a move to Limerick in 2011 when nine goals in 24 games helped The Super Blues to promotion to the Irish Premier Division.
Cambridge United came in for the 6’ striker in November 2014, but injury meant it was nearly a year until Gaffney made his debut, assisting the winning goal against Stevenage. In January Bristol Rovers took Gaffney on permanently after a successful loan spell, and he helped Rovers to promotion to League One at the end of the season. In the process he developed a reputation for clinical finishing and a good goals per minutes ratio before signing a three-year deal at Salford.
