Experienced centre-back Nathan Pond linked up again with manager Graham Alexander in May 2018 after 15 years at Fleetwood Town.
The 34-year-old signed for The Cod Army in 2003 from Lancaster City when the club was in the North West Counties Football League Division One, and played at the club throughout their rise to League One; he holds a Guinness World Record for being the only player to have played for the same club in seven different leagues.
A legend at Fleetwood, Pond did have a couple of loan spells away from the club at Kendal Town and then Grimsby Town, the latter of which he was brought back from by Alexander who then made him club captain in 2015.
Pond broke the Fleetwood appearance record that season, and he left the club with 498 appearances and 51 goals.
He earned a seventh promotion of his career in 2018-19, helping us to play-off success at Wembley.
Previous Clubs: Lancaster City, Fleetwood Town, Kendal Town (loan), Grimsby Town (loan).
