Wide midfielder Josh was The Ammies' first recruit ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, signing a two-year deal from Fleetwood Town.

The 29-year-old started his career at Blackburn Rovers where he first worked with Gary Bowyer, but it was Scunthorpe United where he made a real impact.

He finished as top scorer in his first two seasons in 2016-17 and 2017-18 as Scunthorpe pushed for promotion from League One, but following their relegation in 2018-19 he signed a two-year deal with Fleetwood Town.

In 57 League One appearances he scored seven goals for the Cod Army, before choosing to re-join the Gaffer in 2021.
