Jason Lowe signed a three-year deal in the summer of 2020 after leaving Bolton Wanderers.
A versatile player used mainly as a midfielder, but able to play across the back, the former Trotters captain made 71 appearances after joining from Birmingham City in 2018, and was endeared to supporters after sticking with the club despite the off-field challenges they faced.
His career started as a 12-year-old with Blackburn Rovers where he came through the Academy to become a first team regular, making 196 appearances and captaining the club in seven seasons. As a youngster he represented England at Under-20 and Under-21 level, captaining the Under-20s at the 2011 World Cup in Colombia.
Lowey was chosen as the Players' Player of the Season in 2021-22 after making more appearances than anyone in the season, missing just one game in the league.
Previous Clubs: Blackburn Rovers, Oldham Athletic (loan), Birmingham City, Bolton Wanderers.
