Forward Jake Beesley was one of a number of young players to arrive at The Peninsula Stadium in preparation for the 2017-18 season.
The 21-year-old signed from Chesterfield where he came through the youth ranks, and made his debut in October 2014 in the Football League Trophy. Beesley, the son of former Sheffield United centre-back Paul Beesley, went on to make 10 appearances for The Spirits as well as having a loan spell at Shaw Lane.
Naturally a forward, Beesley had to settle for more appearances out wide or as a wing-back last season after scoring on his first start for the club away at AFC Telford United. Another goal came away at Brackley in January but with game time limited Beesley went on loan to Boston United, and scored the opening goal against Harrogate Town in a defeat for Town that consigned them to the play-offs and effectively gave Salford the title after a 1-0 win at Southport on the same night.
In 2018-19 Beesley spent the season on loan at Bradford Park Avenue where he was top scorer.
Previous Clubs: Chesterfield, Shaw Lane (loan), Boston United (loan), Bradford Par Avenue (loan).
