Defender Donald Love signed a one-year deal with Salford City in August 2021!
A graduate of the Manchester United academy, the 26-year-old had a loan spell at Wigan Athletic in October 2015 before making his Red Devils debut away at Sunderland in February 2016, coming on as a substitute for Matteo Darmian. A few days later he started his only game for United against FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League.
That summer he moved to Sunderland along with Paddy McNair, signing a four-year deal, but he was released in 2019 after an ankle injury that had kept him out for most of 2018-19. His next move was to Shrewsbury Town where in two seasons he made 56 appearances before being released in June 2021.
