Defender Dan Jones signed a two-year deal with Salford City in 2019 after leaving Barrow.
Able to play left-back or left centre-back, Jones impressed last season with The Bluebirds as they finished in the top half of the Vanarama National League.
Hailing from the North-East, Jones started his career with Hartlepool United and was part of the Pools squad that drew 1-1 at Salford in the 2015-16 Emirates FA Cup Second Round. However at the end of that season he was released and signed a contract with newly promoted Grimsby Town, although he went on loan to Gateshead and AFC Fylde during the season before being released.
That summer he signed for Barrow and spent two seasons at Holker Street, during which time he played for England C on a couple of occasions, before choosing to step back up to the Football League with Salford.
Previous Clubs: Hartlepool United, Grimsby Town, Gateshead (loan), AFC Fylde (loan), Barrow.
