Striker Conor McAleny signed a two-year deal with Salford in July 2021 after leaving Oldham Athletic.

The 29-year-old enjoyed his best campaign to date at The Latics, finishing as top scorer with 21 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.

As a scholar at Everton, Conor impressed at youth level and was called up into the first team squad on a number of occasions, making his debut for the Toffees away at Arsenal in December 2011 (replacing Salford co-owner Phil Neville!).

Over the next few seasons the young forward had a number of loan moves away from Goodison Park including at Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic, but most notably Oxford United where he scored 10 goals in 18 appearances in the second half of the 2016-17 season.

That form prompted a move to Fleetwood Town and over the next three years he scored seven times in 55 appearances, as well as having loan spells at Kilmarnock and Shrewsbury Town before making the move to Boundary Park.

Previous Clubs: Everton, Scunthorpe United (loan), Brentford (loan), Cardiff City (loan), Charlton Athletic (loan), Wigan Athletic (loan), Oxford United (loan), Fleetwood Town, Kilmarnock (loan), Shrewsbury Town (loan), Oldham Athletic.
