Article posted:

THE draw for the Quarter-Finals of the Manchester Premier Cup took place this afternoon, and Salford City have been drawn at home against FC United of Manchester.

Our fellow Vanarama National League North side are the current holders of the trophy, having beaten Stalybridge Celtic in the final last year at Oldham Athletic’s Boundary Park.

They received a bye to the Quarter-Finals due to the odd number of teams in the competition, making this their first tie.

Salford made it to the Quarter-Finals after a 2-0 victory over North West Counties Premier Division side Irlam, with the goals coming from Mani Dieseruvwe and Mark Shelton.

Manager Anthony Johnson commented:

“It would have made a brilliant final!

“It’ll be a tough game, the two highest ranked teams left in the competition, but we’re at home so we’re confident.

“We want to do well in the competition so it’s a good test for us.”

The tie will be played on Tuesday 7th November with a 7:45pm kick off.

If the scores are level after 90 minutes, the tie will be decided via a penalty shoot-out

Season tickets cannot be used for this FA Competition tie; all spectators must pay on the gate.
Adults: £7
Concessions (60+, Under-16, Students with ID): £3

Resident parking restrictions WILL be enforced for this game. The club will be operating the park and ride scheme from IT Lab on Agecroft Road (price £2 per car).
