Manager Gary Bowyer and forward Ian Henderson have both claimed Sky Bet League Two awards for April!
The Gaffer has won the Manager of the Month, while Hendo has been chosen as the Player of the Month.
Salford leapt from 11th to 7th in April with 17 points from eight games, reaching the play-offs for the first time under Gary Bowyer.
Front man Henderson contributed his share with six goals and an assist to scoop his second Player of the Month award this season.
“Thank you to everyone that voted, it’s an honour to receive this award and recognition.
“I’d like to give a special mention to the team and management for their continued support and encouragement to enable winning this award, it’s truly appreciated.”
After defeat at Exeter in his first game in charge, the Gaffer has inspired an upturn in results and going into Saturday’s game The Ammies are still in contention for the play-offs despite defeat at Colchester a week ago.
The 49-year-old said:
“First and foremost it’s a massive reflection on the team and the players, and the staff, more than myself.
“Of course it’s an achievement to be recognised, but I would like to thank the players for their contributions that have made it possible.”
