Salford City midfielder Matthew Lund has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association.
An FA panel reviewed an incident involving Lund and Matty Longstaff in the 20th minute of Monday’s game against Mansfield Town, which the referee Sebastian Stockbridge hadn’t seen.
Their ruling was Violent Conduct, and subsequently Lund has been charged. The Club and the Player have a deadline of 5pm today to respond. If found guilty, Lund will serve a three-match ban beginning on Saturday.
There will be no further comment.
