Article posted:

SALFORD CITY will begin their Manchester Premier Cup 2017-18 campaign with a home game against Irlam FC.

The Mitchells were Salford’s opponents at this stage of the competition last year also, when The Ammies won 4-0 thanks to braces from Richie Allen and Matt Warburton.

We went on to reach the semi-finals where we lost 2-1 at Stalybridge Celtic, who were beaten in the final by FC United of Manchester.

With an odd number of teams in the draw, FC United have been given a bye to the next round as last year’s winners.
