Salford City’s unbeaten run in March continued with a 1-0 win at Harrogate Town in front of the BT Sport cameras.
The Ammies came out on top against our play-off rivals thanks to Devonte Redmond’s second half penalty, which he cooly dispatched into the right-hand post.
There could have been more goals but James Belshaw was in fine form in the Harrogate goal, and some excellent defending at the back kept the league’s top scorers at a safe arm’s length.
Salford are now up to third in The National League, a point ahead of Wrexham and one behind Solihull Moors with the same amount of games played. Manager Graham Alexander was delighted with his side’s performance again as we kept a sixth consecutive clean sheet.
The centre-back was chosen as the BT Sport / Vanarama Man of the Match for his display at the back. He came close to scoring the opening goal, but was denied by a brilliant Belshaw save, and instead went on to record another clean sheet of the campaign.
