Foundation 92 is proud to announce the launch of a new Early Years development programme which will be led by highly qualified and experienced coaches in Salford.
The course will provide young children aged 2-4 with the opportunity to take part in a wide and diverse range of activities to build on their fundamental skills and to help them confidently transition into a school environment.
Participants will be provided with the chance to take part in football, dance, yoga and balance biking amongst other activities, ensuring the programme is a physically and mentally beneficial experience.
All sessions will be delivered in line with the national Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in order to provide every young person engaged with the best possible ground to succeed in their later years.
Currently, more than 37 nursery settings throughout Salford have already committed to working in partnership with Foundation 92 on this programme moving forward.
Operations and Development Manager Matt Agnew said:
“It’s a really key age for learning sport. If you’ve not been given that opportunity by the time that you’re going to primary school, you’re almost a step backwards on where others are.
“We’re trying to upskill the next generation, get young children active and healthy from a very early age and used to a range of sports and physical activity, so that by the time that they’re transitioning into school, they’ve already got those fundamental skills.
“We’re looking at building a team to help develop and deliver a bespoke service. Every nursery is completely different so we’re really passionate about and committed to developing our sessions for each individual partner.”
