Foundation 92, SalfordFoundation 92 is proud to offer females in Salford the opportunity to take part in three free activity sessions each week throughout summer 2020!

Sessions will be based at Albert Park and will provide the community with the opportunity to take part in fun physical activity, delivered in line with government safety guidelines.

This programme is a fantastic opportunity for 8-11 year old females to meet new friends, take part in activities and develop their social skills in a safe and welcoming environment.

The sessions are provided between 3-5pm on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, and from 12-2pm on Friday each week, with the final activity session taking place at the end of September.

Head of Foundation 92, Tom Hutton, said:

“The Foundation prides itself on delivering inclusive, welcoming and safe activities that allow every person in Salford to thrive.

“Through the support of Greater Sport and 1ST CENTRAL, Foundation 92 hopes to support many young females to develop their confidence and improve their health and wellbeing throughout summer 2020.”

Jo McGowan from car insurance provider 1ST CENTRAL, which sponsors Foundation 92, added:

“With schools closed for months due to the coronavirus lockdown, this has been a very difficult time for schoolchildren.

“With feelings of loneliness and anxiety on the rise, we’re delighted to be partnering with Foundation 92 to deliver an important initiative for girls in Salford, encompassing inclusive, welcoming and fun activities.

“These free activity sessions will serve as a safe space for local girls to have fun and socialise with like-minded people of their age, as well as improving their physical and mental health through exercise.”

Pre-booking is advised and if you wish to register your interest in these sessions, please email tom.hutton@foundation92.co.uk.
