Goodbye to the club physiotherapist, Vallan McCarthy

Salford City physiotherapist Vallan McCarthy will be leaving his post with the club after three memorable years

Vallan joined Salford City’s back-room staff as club physiotherapist during the summer of 2014 and made immediate impact with his professional and friendly approach.

He was previously the physio with our old adversaries Woodley Sports (now Stockport Town) before agreeing to make the switch to Moor Lane.

Since then Vallan has become part of the fabric of the club – hugely respected for his professional expertise and a great personality to have around.

The Ammies’ switch to full-time status means that Val must now – with great reluctance – give up his role but he will be back to support a club that has got into his blood.

It’s been a great pleasure and privilege to work alongside Val and everyone involved at Moor Lane would like to offer him their sincere thanks and very best wishes for the future.

We’ll leave the last words to the man himself…

“it’s been a real pleasure working with everyone involved at the club over the last three years. I am so proud to have been a part of Salford’s team and these are very special chapters in my life that Iwill never forget.
Once again thank you to everyone involved at the club and to our brilliant fans
I love and will miss you all”.
