The Emirates FA Cup, FA Cup, Salford City, The Peninsula Stadium, Emirates, The Ammies, Marine in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round, Marine v Salford, FA Cup First Round drawThe Emirates FA Cup First Round draw takes place on Monday 21st October following the conclusion of the Fourth Qualifying Round this weekend.

Salford join the draw as an EFL team for the first time ever, having only appeared in the ‘proper’ rounds twice previously.

We progressed from the First Round in 2015-16’s giant killing run by beating Notts County at Moor Lane, before losing in extra time in the Second Round replay at Hartlepool United.

Last season we credibly drew 1-1 at Shrewsbury Town, but lost the replay 3-1.

The draw will take place with Karen Carney and Jermaine Beckford on Monday evening from 7pm, and supporters can watch live on BBC Two. Keep an eye out for ball number 38, for a full list of ball numbers and details see the FA website. Due to the situation at Bury, the last side drawn will be given a bye to the Second Round.

Ties are set to be played on the weekend of Saturday 9th November.

Meanwhile the draw for the First Round of the FA Youth Cup took place this week and our Under-18s will host Carlisle United. That game must be played by Saturday 2nd November so will likely be in the week leading up to then.
