Salford City can confirm the departure of defender Carl Piergianni to Oldham Athletic.
The 28-year-old has had a real impact at the club since arriving when we turned professional in 2017. An exemplary character on and off the field, he promised to help us reach the Football League and we achieved exactly that.
Pidge quickly became a fans’ favourite, and has provided us with some of our most treasured memories in the last three seasons including scoring in our National League play-off final win at Wembley in May 2019.

Unsurprisingly he scooped both Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Year awards in 2018-19, retaining the Supporters’ award he also won in 2017-18’s title winning campaign.
In total he amassed 111 appearances for The Ammies, scoring 15 goals before heading out on loan to The Latics in January.
We would like to thank Carl for everything over the last three seasons; he moves on with all of our best wishes and will always be welcome at The Peninsula Stadium!
