Salford City is delighted to announce the signing of Callum Hendry on a two-year deal.

The 24-year-old forward joins the Ammies having left Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone at the end of the 2021-22 season. After starting his career in the youth ranks at Blackburn Rovers, Callum moved north of the boarder to ply his trade in the Scottish Premier League for St Johnstone, in time for the start of the 2017-18 season.

Subsequent loan moves followed including to Aberdeen and more recently Kilmarnock in the Scottish Championship.

Last season was Callum’s most productive to date, having notched 14 goals across all competitions, including eight goals in 19 SPL appearances, and he is looking forward to building on this form at new club Salford City.

“I’m really excited to be joining Salford City, it’s an exciting and ambitious club and I can’t wait to get started and play a part in what the Club is looking to achieve”

On his first signing, Head Coach Neil Wood added:

“Callum is great addition to our squad, young and hungry to achieve success. He is a great fit for us here at Salford City, it’s an exciting signing for the Club and the fans.”

The signing is subject to EFL and FA ratification.
