Brackley Town Salford City

The draw for the third qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Trophy was made this lunchtime and Salford City face a trip to play one of their Vanarama National League North promotion rivals.

The Ammies have been drawn away to Brackley Town, with the tie scheduled to be played on Saturday 25th November with a 3pm kick-off. It will be the second time the two sides have met so far this season – a brace from Jack Redshaw gave Salford a 2-0 win at The Peninsula Stadium in September.

Joint-manager Anthony Johnson had this to say after hearing the draw:

“It’s arguably the toughest draw we could have had with Brackley doing as well as they are in the league.

“But we’ve already played them this season and beat them so we’ll go down there in a confident mood looking to get into the next round.”

The next round will be the First Proper when the Vanarama National League sides enter the fray – those ties will be played on Saturday 16th December.

Admission and coach details will be announced in due course.
