New Salford City loanee Jack Baldwin says he is ready to give it his all at the club this season.
The 26-year-old signed on a season-long loan from League One Sunderland on transfer deadline day having made just one appearance for the Black Cats this season.
Turning professional at Hartlepool United before moving to Peterborough United, the centre-back has extensive experience in League One which is where he is hoping to get back to come the end of 2019-20.
“It’s an opportunity for me to come and play some football that I’ve missed recently at Sunderland.
“I’m personally happy to be here and get cracking really.
“First and foremost I’m a defender, obviously keeping clean sheets is the big thing for us but on the flip side of that I like to think that I can get the ball down and play when I’m needed to.
“I give my all for whoever I play for so I’ll never give less than 100% each and every week.
“It’s a good club with great ambition so obviously, speaking with the Gaffer, the boys here, we want to put in as good a season as we can this year and see where it takes us.
“There’s a great feel about the changing rooms and that with the boys, and I already know Danny Lloyd, I know Dan Jones as well, so it’s nice to come into a place where you know some faces already and fit in pretty easily from day one.”
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Jack, and we wish you a successful stay here at The Peninsula Stadium.
