Salford City is pleased to welcome Aramide Oteh to the Club on a short term deal until January!
The 23-year-old has been a free agent since his release by QPR in the summer, but has prior experience of League Two having been on loan at Bradford City, Stevenage and Colchester United in the last two seasons.
A pacy forward, he scored five goals in 26 League Two appearances in 2020-21 and four goals in 22 appearances at Bradford, playing for Gary Bowyer.
The Manager was one of the main reasons Aramide has chosen to relocate to the North West, and having not played a competitive game since April he can’t wait to get started with The Ammies.
“I’m feeling very happy and very blessed for the opportunity, and I’m raring to go! I haven’t played for a while now so I’m itching to get going.
“I played for the Gaffer at Bradford where I feel he got the best out of me, he gave me the confidence and I just want to repay him.
“He’s just said they play good football, he’s worked with me before so it was the relationship and the connection that we’ve had before that persuaded me, and I want to come here and work hard for the Club and for him.
“I’ve played in League Two for a couple of seasons now so I know what you need to do to ground out a result. What you can expect from me is goals, hard work, always committed so yeah, I can’t wait to start.”
After welcoming his most recent signing, Gary Bowyer added:
“We’re delighted that we’ve been able to find someone that’s got the league experience that Aramide has, having been on loan at Walsall, Bradford and Colchester, to cover for recent injuries to our front line.
“Having worked with him before we know he’s a good finisher, he’s got a lot to prove to people and we look forward to working with him.”
Welcome to Salford, Aramide, and we hope you enjoy your time at The Peninsula Stadium!
He will wear the number 20, and is eligible for this afternoon’s clash with Northampton Town.
