GRAHAM Alexander says he has been pleased with his side’s intensity in the last week and during Saturday’s 1-0 win at Woking.

Carl Piergianni headed in the winner on 78 minutes in a match that Salford dominated and were deserved winners.

The gaffer also admitted that there is still room for improvement, but that his side have improved since the defeat to Fleetwood at the start of pre-season.

Danny Lloyd made his Ammies debut and marked it with a good performance, and Alexander hopes that Adam Rooney will soon be in action after signing from Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen during the week.

Pre-season finishes at Altrincham on Saturday 28th July before kick-off against Leyton Orient at The Peninsula Stadium on Saturday 4th August, live on BT Sport (KO 12:30).
